The Gift of Each Moment

I have a book called, “Change Me Prayers” by Tosha Silver. Daily, I open it randomly to a page.  Yesterday in the midst of our new reality of experience caused by the coronavirus, I paused to read this prayer for the day:

“Change me Divine Beloved into One who can embrace the gift of each moment, even when it comes in a puzzling form. Let me accept whatever comes, like a secret present from God Herself.” 

I would be lying if I said I embrace the gift of each moment. And this coronavirus is for sure a puzzling form. We will all have our takeaways when we look back on this time and for now, I take faith that we will come together and help each other through.
