Good Vibrations

The last forty-eight hours I have been under the weather. I woke up Sunday night to severe abdominal cramps and a fever.  There is something about being sick that makes you very present.

Today I feel much better and the subject of presence is very much on my mind. With the recent passing of Chadwick Boseman many have commented on his presence. His groundedness and how present he was when he was with you.

It seems now more than ever having a presence of mind is key as we transverse these changing times. I think it’s also important to acknowledge our feelings.  This past weekend both on Saturday and Sunday I woke up with a heaviness.  Worried, fearful, and anxious I knew they were related to outside circumstances and knew I took as much action that I could and now I needed to let it go and wait.

I didn’t want the feelings to take over my day. So, I got up and started my daily routine meditating for fifteen minutes and making a cup of tea.  On Saturday it was rainy, so I went to the laundromat to clean a duvet cover and then helped my brother with his phone.  In late afternoon I got a surprise text from a college friend asking if I’d like to come West for a girl’s weekend and that she was gifting the airplane tickets for all to attend.  The next morning, I got the ticket confirmation.  The first three letters being JOY.   A sign? I think so.

Friends and Connection are so key all the time but especially now.  My friend Monica and I text each other these words, “Friend Check”.  Through the weekend we both experienced a low vibe, and both shifted in our own way.  She took a four-mile walk. I went to the beach with my sister. We got to talk briefly on Sunday night, and she said lastly to me, “Let go and let God.”.

And wouldn’t you know it the thing I was worried about resolved itself on Sunday night instead of seeing pending (for the last six weeks) on the Unemployment Portal I saw processed and my transfer from Hawaii to Connecticut was approved.

So, this week when you feel the low vibe reach out, take a walk, get in nature, do what feeds your soul.  The ego says, “Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace.” Spirit says, “Find your peace, and then everything will fall into place.” -IG | Conscious Soul

Together we journey through all the vibes!
